Wedding Invitations - Part 3

RSVPs!

This idea came from Pinterest. I saw several Madlib style RSVP cards out there and loved the idea. I enlisted Clay's help to come up with some wording that we both liked.

I think most people enjoyed the madlib style, although we did get a few back that weren't filled out, and we also had several people tell us that they couldn't think of what to write, and that that was why they were taking so long! It was so much fun getting these back in the mail. I would always wait to read them until Clay was home and then we would read them aloud.

There's a ton. I have not posted all of them, because there are so many.

Summer Wishes Update: 3 Musketeers!

9. finish reading The 3 Musketeers

I did it!
It took quite a while, but I finished. The ending got very exciting.  I already returned the book to the library and got two film versions to watch. One is a silent film from 1921 starring Douglas Fairbanks, and the other is the 1993 Disney version. I thought that that was the most recent one, but now I see another was made in 2011. I am eager to see how the ending was handled because it's really quite grim.

Also, we are making progress on...

8. find a new couch!
We are using wedding money to buy a new sofa! We are considering an Ikea couch, the Karlstad, but we also want to look around a little more first.

LWA virtual mail social

So, today is another LWA virtual mail social.

I've only written one letter so far. I was very excited about printing out some of the free printable stationery made for the last online social. You can download it from the LWA site if you are a member. I had to go out to buy dog food, so I stopped by the Fed Ex office to buy some black printer ink. We've been out of ink forever and I just kept forgetting to buy some. But when I got home I discovered that our shit printer won't let you print unless the black and all the color ink cartridges have ink. We were also out of yellow and magenta ink. Apparently the printer lays yellow ink under the black ink to make it brighter (or really just to make you spend more money). Hopefully Fed Ex will let me return the ink, but even if it does, I'm pretty bummed that I didn't get to print out my stationery. BLURG.

Does this count towards my mail social summer wish?
I think at least half-way.

More thank yous

With a wedding comes lots of mail. These are some of the thank yous I sent out for the bridal shower. The songbird stamps are so beautiful, I thought they were perfect.

The labels I am using I found at the I.D.E.A. store. They are for floppy disks!
I found quite a few interesting labels there. Maybe I will showcase them in another post.
I love the square shape of these, I love the block of color, I love the large space at the top to write the recipient's name.
